Founded in 2011, Fairway for a Better Life is a non-profit organization that introduces North Carolina's youth to the game of golf and helps groom junior golfers with the skills to pursue golf as a career, hobby, or a business opportunity. Janice was the Assistant General Manager for a golf course in Langston, Washington DC for over 20 years. Her vision of bringing golf to the under privileged youth finally came true once she relocated to Rocky Mount, North Carolina. In addition, Fairway for a Better Life not only teaches the game of golf, but it also develops integrity, respect, confidence, honesty, and sportsmanship in our young adults.
Striving to make Life Better for the Kids
A friendly competition can challenge both your mind and body.
I am a big supporter of our younger generation. By getting them involved in the game of Golf; it is my hope that we can get them off the street. I love working with them.
My love for the game of golf gives me the opportunity to mentor some amazing kids. My goal is that they grow up to be respectful and responsible adults. I enjoy working with young people.
My love for Mentorship and Golfing is about instilling the game's values in kids so they grow up to become responsible adults. It is a pleasure providing this guidance to our youth, so they don't make the same mistakes as I did.
